130 AC: border skirmishes

As the dance rages through Westeros, there is a surprising guest who arrives at the Dornish court. Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen first sends emissaries to Dorne but when they are all turned back, it is she who flies to the land of sand and deserts. However, Princess Aliandra, ever proud of Dorne's independence and wary of the Targaryens, refuses to involve her people in the conflict, declaring that the war for the throne is a "dragon problem, not a Dornish one. To quote what my ancestor once told yours. This is Dorne. You are not wanted here. Return at your peril.”

it is also when house rogare of lys comes across the narrow sea to seek trade with dorne

145 AC: the year of drought

A devastating drought grips Dorne, drying up wells and rivers. Crops fail and many of the Dornish people and cities struggle to prevent their people from falling to thirst and hunger. House Fowler suffers many losses as not only the head of the house perishes due to hunger but also several daughters meet the Stranger. Prince Qyle Nymeros Martell, Aliandra’s brother, travels to Essos, hoping to organize some sort of relief effort via trade deals. He comes back successful but with a price. House Rogare of Lys offered their help in exchange for a marriage between Aliandra and Drazenko. The pair are wed in the same month.

150 AC: alliandra martell dies

One faithful day in 150AC, a servant entered Alliandra’s chambers to wake her, only to be met with a haunting sight that would stay with them forever. The princess, who had been with child, sat in bed, cradling the lifeless babe in her arms, while her own body lay limp against the pillows. Maesters later determined that Aliadra had gone into early labor, delivering the stillborn child alone, before succumbing to the ravages of childbed fever.

153 AC: the joining of dorne

Dorne finally joins the seven kingdoms via the marriage of Prince Trystane Nymeros Martell and Daenys Targaryen. They are allowed to keep their title and own religion. The marriage seems fruitful and happy as not soon after the triplets are born.

156 ac: the siege of the red keep

A coup led by Princes Aegon and Viserys results in the brutal storming of the Red Keep, where King Jacaerys I is killed, plunging the realm into chaos and questioning the legitimacy of his son, Baelon's, claim to the throne. The violent siege also leads to the tragic slaughter of Princess Daenys Targaryen and the young royal children, deepening the realm's despair and instability.

156 AC: a son for a son

Dorne is furious at the loss of their beloved princess. The region goes into national mourning and it is Lord Tredor Wyll together with Lady Dayne who take it upon themselves to patrol the seas. The two have an instant liking for one another and only nine months later, Lady Dayne’s first child is born on the ship. Having fled the Red Keep, Prince Viserys and Prince Aegon sought refuge in the Reach. Hiding amongst the maesters in the citadel, it took nearly a whole year and the bravery of one young novice before both brothers were caught and dragged back to King’s Landing to face justice.

169 AC: essos invades

As tensions in the Stepstones rise and Essosi factions seek to expand their influence, King Baelon I, unable to call on the Velaryon fleet due to a rift with House Velaryon, relies on lesser-experienced allies like Lord Gilbert Redwyne, Lady Laenna Celtigar, and Qylle Fowler to face the Triarchy's seasoned forces. Just when defeat seems imminent, sixteen-year-old Jacaerys Waters, against his mother’s wishes, arrives on his dragon Valaeris, setting the Essosi fleet aflame and, alongside the Redwyne fleet, turns the tide, securing control over the Stepstones.

However, the true aim of the conflict remains shrouded in mystery, as rumors spread that the invasion is meant to support the hidden descendants of Aegon—Jacaerys' half-brother—specifically his twins, Rhaenora and Rhaenor, and their children.

170 AC: winter arrives

Winter came in the year 170 AC and had the realm heeded House Stark’s warning, there might not have been such a loss amongst the people. Most notable was Lord Osther Tully, who had in his boastful youth and urge to impress a noble lady, stripped himself off of all his clothes and dove head first into the freezing river.  The ice-cold water hit him like steel daggers, grasping at his lungs and muscles until he found himself unable to swim to safety. It was only when Spring arrived and the ice began to melt that they found the young lord’s body.

Even Dorne, whose climate was warmer than most of Westeros, suffered. Winter spares no one. It came and took the life of Prince Trystane Martell who had married Princess Daenys and united the sands with the rest of the realm, leaving XY Martell as crown prince of Dorne and head of House Martell.

177 AC: the legitimation of the royal bastards

As Baelon I's health declined, he withdrew to Summerhall, sending forth ravens to all claimants to the Iron Throne.
In Dorne, it is the Crown Prince and his brother,  Quentyn Martell who are called forth to travel to Summerhall and plead their case.  While Oberyn sought to assert dominance and perhaps carve out a new legacy for his house, Quentyn seemed to care less. The man is a notorious party boy and simply doesn’t seem to find himself interested in the Iron Throne while he has a quiet life in Dorne. However, when both brothers arrive at Summerhall, Quentin finds himself becoming a close confidant to Vaemond.

It is then that Prince Vaemond is named heir. The crown prince of Dorne is disappointed though ever the ambitious man, he demands his youngest sister to stay at court. Quentyn on the other hand, after thwarting an assassination attempt on Vaemond, something shifts within the Dornish casanova. 178 AC: swearing in of the great houses

The great hall of Summerhall, once heavy with the weight of King Baelon’s announcement, now buzzed with a different energy as lords and ladies of the realm, their faces a blend of duty, resignation, and ambition, came forward to swear loyalty to the newly named Crown Prince. House Velaryon took the lead, with Lord XY Velaryon pledging not only his oath but also his fleet to the Prince, followed closely by the steadfast stags of House Baratheon and even House Stark whose sole daughter, XY Stark had served as a lady-in-waiting for the late Queen Alerie carried a promise of unwavering support from the North.

It is both Martell's sisters who swear loyalty to Prince Vaemond in the name of Dorne and promise to serve and honor the prince.

179 AC: the rose and the viper

To secure a lasting peace along Dorne’s northern borders, the Crown Prince of Dorne journeys to Highgarden to propose a marriage alliance between House Martell and House Tyrell, aiming to end the century-old hostility between the two regions. After days of negotiations behind closed doors, the historic pact was forged. No one knows how the game was played, we just assume that it happened, but no one else was in the room where it happened. An agreement that the eldest Martell sister would wed Lord Tyrell, uniting the two powerful houses in marriage and finally putting an end to their bitter rivalry.

180 AC: the arrival of court at harrenhal

Two years pass and no news comes from Prince Jacaerys who is hidden within his broken down castle in Harrenhal. Baelon grows ever sicker, bedridden, and rarely seen out of his chambers. His dragon, Aegarax, ever vigilant remains close. It is when one fateful night, the Stranger’s grasp grows too tight around Baelon’s neck that the ailing king proclaims another move. Against all advice, he demands his carriages to be readied and sets off to Harrenhal and of course, the court follows.
