money system

Coin represents the primary currency and resource management system within CoS. It symbolizes the wealth and financial power of a house, encompassing everything from gold reserves, trade profits, taxes collected from vassals, and plunder gained through conquests. Coin is essential for maintaining the strength of a house and is used to fund armies, fleets and strategic actions.

Houses gain coin primarily through their Base Income, which represents the wealth generated from their lands, trade, taxes, and other resources. Additionally, certain actions or strategic decisions can increase a house’s coin reserves.

Beyond house finances, residents of Westeros also earn personal coins through work, trade, services, or other means. Whether a merchant profits from selling goods, a mercenary is paid for their sword, or a blacksmith crafts weapons for nobles, personal wealth allows characters to engage in daily commerce, buy equipment, or invest in their own ventures.

CoS follows a three-tier coin system:

  • Copper Penny – The most common currency, used for everyday transactions.

  • Silver Stag – A mid-tier coin, worth 10 copper pennies, often used between merchants and tradesmen as well as nobles.

  • Gold Dragon – The highest denomination, worth 100 copper pennies or 10 silver stags, reserved for large transactions, noble house dealings, and major wealth exchanges.

Personal coins can be saved, spent, or exchanged, providing opportunities for social interactions, bribes, investments, or economic power moves within roleplay.

Every active player stats with 111 Copper Pennies which is shown in HUD as : Coin - 1 Gold Dragon 1 Silver Stag 1 Coin

To pay or trade with currency in CoS simply click the bag icon on hud and select the pay button.

To see your balance select the same icon upon hud and click  Balance button.

Approved Nobles receive a stipend of 2 Silver Stags each month (20 Copper Penny).

Creating side characters to transfer coins to yourself is strictly forbidden, as all transactions are monitored and recorded on the HUD website. Any individual found abusing this system will be removed and their character retired as this is seen as metagaming and will result in an instant ban.

Additionally, individuals who have not been present on the sim during the previous month will not receive their stipend at the start of the new month.
