129 AC: the aftermath of the dance of dragons
After Rhaenyra Targaryen's victory in the Dance of Dragons and her ascent to the Iron Throne in 129 AC, the Vale became one of the main powers to weed out whatever was left of the green supporters, under the leadership of The Maiden of the Vale, Jeyne Arryn. Many traitors are found and the banner of the gold and green dragon is burned.

132AC - mountain clan raids
Serving as one councilmembers to Rhaenyra’s queens council, Lady Jeyne quickly returns to the Vale when words reaches Kingslanding that the mountain clans have begun their raids once more now that the Dance had died down and the roads were open once more. While the Maiden of the Vale makes her way back, the brothers of House Royce, Ryan and William hold the Vale strong.
They manage to drive back the mountain clans. William slays their chief and earns the victory to his name. As gratitude, Lady Jeyne Arryn gifts him the right to take over his mother’s house as they held no male heirs.

134AC - the maiden of the vale
As the year changes to 134AC, sad news spreads through the Vale. Lady Jeyne, the famed Maiden of the Vale dies of a chest cold while at the Motherhouse of Maris in Gulltown. But with her death, comes trouble. Lady Jeyne named her cousin Joffrey Arryn as her heir. However, not all agreed.
Arnold Arryn, a lord who stands closer to Jeyne in inheritance gathers support. House Grafton and Royce support his claim over that of Joffrey. Tensions build over a year, coming to a burst with the death of Eldric Arryn, Lord Arnold’s son.

140AC - the Civil War ends
Six years later, the Vale held its own civil war. By the hand of Allard Royce who against his father and wife’s wishes joins the battle at the Bloody Gate, claiming that it is his duty as bannerman of Joffrey Arryn and his best friend to protect his liege, Arnold Arryn is slain and therefore ending the civil war in the Vale.

153ac: reign of jacaerys i
Jacaerys I Targaryen ascends to the throne amidst widespread rumors questioning his legitimacy, leading to a divided realm. The conflict between Jacaerys' Blue faction and his half-brother Aegon's Red faction, intensified by internal Lannister rivalries, plunges Westeros into further chaos and civil strife. Unsurprisingly, House Arryn and House Royce are in support of Aegon’s Red Faction while House Corbray remains loyal to the crown.

156ac: the siege of the red keep
The realm is invited to visit King's Landing in honor to celebrate the Baelon's son, Gaemon's third nameday. Amongst the people are Lord Tommen Lannister and his goodsister Melissa Mallister. Things go sour however when a coup is held and amongst the victims are Melissa Mallister, the sister of the current Lord Mallister. The white eagle sends his brother to King's Landing to offer his services to find the culprit. Together with Lord Bryan Frey, they head off to the Capitol and are present at the trail of Aegon and Viserys Targaryen.
But what was odd was….Aegon’s son and daughter Rhaenor and Rhaenora are never found.

156 AC - A murder of crows
Once Aegon and Viserys are found in Oldtown, Baelon swiftly disposes of them. And while he assured all male heirs of the traitors bloody his cloak, there is still the matter of the daughters. House Corbray, having always supported his branch of the family, is chosen as one of the grooms for the now titleless daughters. A wedding between Jaehella Targaryen and Corman Corbray is held a year later.

169ac: essos invades
With the Velaryon fleet unavailable due to a rift with House Targaryen, King Baelon I relies on the Redwyne fleet and allies to combat an Essosi invasion through the Stepstones. The tide turns when 16-year-old Jacaerys Waters defies his mother, leading a fiery dragon assault, astride upon Valaeris that helps secure victory and reassert control over the Stepstones. House Grafton, with their ties to Essos and their intermarriage with the daughters, sends word to Gyles Grafton who at that time still resides in Volantis, urging him to seek peace or either return to Gulltown. Only a few months later, Gyles and his wife Saelanyra return with their three sons.

170ac: winter arrives
While the heavy winter of one hundred seventy AC protected the Vale, it also confronted its inhabitants. Under lord Ronnel Arryn of House Arryn, the Eyrie coordinated relief efforts from its elevated perspective that aided in the storage of surplus grain and supplies coming from more fruitful years. Valiently didn't flinch, the House Royce rallied its bannermen to defend the Vale's borders against desperate mountain clans which grew bold as the mountain folk started feeling famine. House Grafton maintained their Valyrian connections and their seafaring ways, keeping the trade routes open across Gulltown, such that much food and goods were brought from across the sea to supply the Vale. Yet, despite the troubles, careful planning by the Vale, cooperation among its houses, and natural defenses allowed a better survival in this bitter cold, with fewer losses than any other regions of Westeros.

173AC: the falcon and the runestone
In the year 173 AC, Lord Ronnel Arryn faces mounting pressure from the increasing influence of House Grafton; its Valyrian bloodline grants it wealth from the Gulltown trade. To counterbalance this, Ronnel arranges for the marriage of one of his daughters to the heir of Runestone to further cement their ancient alliance and secure loyalty from House Royce.

178AC: crows in the vale
House Corbray itself, combining the leadership of Jon Corbray and his twin sister Jeyne, had become a major player in the political world of the Vale. Jon Corbray was once a fierce contender for the Iron Throne: After suffering a bitter disappointment when he was finally claimed in 178 AC, his one proud strike to match was the arrangement of marriage to one of King Baelon's legitimated bastards Naerys Targaryen.

178AC: Birthing a dragon amongst the mountains
Although in this realm, with instability already roasting, he was somewhat buoyed in his pride by hatching a dragon egg in 178 AC, and while it is his wife naerys who causes the egg to crack, it is jon who claims the beast, many thought his new power was a wild card in this already fragile region. While Jeyne remained unmarried at her brother's close aide, she frequently took on several back-door diplomatic missions throughout the Vale.

178AC: swearing of the great house
At the end of 178AC, the Great Houses gather to swear their loyalty to the newly appointed heir to the Iron Throne. However, one region seems notably absent from the swear. Not one person of the Vale is present while other houses swear loyalty to Vaemond without much resistance.

180AC: on the road once more
As King Baelon I’s health deteriorates, he defies all advice and orders his carriages to be prepared for a journey to Harrenhal, despite being bedridden and gravely ill. With his court in tow, he sets off to confront his estranged son, Prince Jacaerys, who has remained isolated in his crumbling fortress for two years.
