130AC - storming of the dragonpit
In the aftermath of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen's rise to power and the death of beloved Queen Helaena Targaryen and her children, King's Landing descends into chaos as fearful citizens erupt into riots. The mobs rampage through the city, plundering and killing with reckless abandon. Ser Luthor Largent and his gold cloaks attempt to restore order but are overwhelmed by the sheer ferocity of the violence.
Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and her sons, Joffrey Velaryon and Aegon Targaryen, watch helplessly from Maegor's Holdfast as the riots spiral out of control. Prince Joffrey, fearing for the safety of his dragon Tyraxes, attempts to fly out on Syrax, to protect the dragons but tragically falls to his death when she throws him off of her back. In a desperate bid to save her son, Rhaenyra orders a group of loyal knights known as the Seven Who Rode to rescue him. Led by Ser Medrick Manderly, they brave the chaos of the city to reach Joffrey but arrive too late to save his body from the mob.
Meanwhile, the mobs storm the Dragonpit, where four dragons are chained. The dragons, awakened by the chaos, unleash their fury upon the attackers. Shrykos and Morghul are slain in the ensuing battle, while Tyraxes and Dreamfyre fight fiercely to defend themselves. As the battle rages on, Dreamfyre breaks free and attacks the mob, but she is eventually brought down by a hail of arrows and crossbow bolts. Amidst the carnage, Syrax, Rhaenyra's dragon, descends upon the survivors and wreaks havoc. In the end, Syrax is slain, and King's Landing lies in ruins, with hundreds if not thousands dead. The Shepherd, a mysterious figure who preached salvation through the death of the dragons, is credited with Syrax's demise, though the truth remains shrouded in myth and legend.
With this only a last clutch of eggs still remains upon Dragonstone. Fearing people might seek to destroy these too, Rhaenyra heightens the security upon her ancestral home and reinstates the Order of the Dragonkeepers overseen by her stepdaughter, Baela Targaryen.
129AC - End of the Dance and Queen Rhaenyra I's reign
In the wake of Rhaenyra Targaryen's victory in the Dance of Dragons in 129 AC, the realm was left divided and scarred. Rhaenyra, known as the "Realm's Delight," ascended to the Iron Throne, marking a historic shift in the balance of power within the Seven Kingdoms. However, her reign was fraught with challenges and betrayals, leading to a tumultuous era for the realm.
Despite her initial triumph, Rhaenyra's reign was marred by dissent and rebellion from those who refused to accept her as their rightful queen. After facing numerous threats to her rule, including several failed assassination attempts and regional uprisings, Rhaenyra's hold on power begins to weaken.

145ac - a bountiful harvest
In the fertile lands of the Reach, a region renowned for its abundant harvests, an extraordinary event unfolds. This year, the harvest exceeds all expectations, yielding an unprecedented bounty of crops and produce.
A combination of factors contributes to this remarkable abundance. Favorable weather conditions throughout the growing season, characterized by sufficient rainfall, ample sunshine, and moderate temperatures, create the perfect environment for crops to thrive. The diligent efforts of farmers and laborers play a vital role in maximizing the harvest. Through careful cultivation practices, timely planting, and meticulous attention to detail, they ensure optimal growth and productivity in the fields.
Furthermore, the adoption of innovative techniques and agricultural advancements enhances the Reach's ability to cultivate and harvest crops efficiently. Crop rotation, soil management, and advanced irrigation systems contribute to the overall success of the harvest. Collaborative efforts among noble houses and local communities foster a spirit of cooperation and mutual support. Together, they overcome challenges and work towards a common goal of achieving a bountiful harvest.
As a result of these combined efforts, the Reach enjoys an exceptional harvest, with overflowing granaries and abundant stores of food to sustain its people through the coming seasons. This achievement serves as a testament to the resilience, ingenuity, and unity of the people of the Reach, who embrace the blessings of the land with gratitude and humility.
141AC - the night of blood and fire
In an attempt to regain what was lost, Queen Rhaenyra brings her son, Jacaerys, her grandchildren Daenys and Baelon and Laena Velaryon to Dragon Stone in order to try and hatch whatever eggs they had managed to save from the destruction the dance had brought.
All three toddlers are each presented with the clutches of eggs to choose from. All choose their own eggs. What else happened that night remains a mystery to many. But as the sun rises, three new dragons emerge. Rhaegos, the Night Fury claimed by Laena Velaryon, Aegarax, the Golden king claimed by Baelon Targaryen and Wildfyre, the Untamed Devil.

153ac - rhaenyra's passing
A year later, after her troubled decline had entered the court's whispers, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen came to an abrupt and suspect end. The queen's health had been steadily deteriorating,
and though she spent most of the days caught up in a mist induced by milk of the poppy, there were startling moments of clarity when Rhaenyra spoke of her increasing doubts about Jacaerys as a ruler and son of a queen.
Even more ominous were the rumours that she had voiced her plans to name her second son Aegon as her heir, which at the time sent shockwaves through a court already long divided by rivalry and mistrust.
This sort of whisper was especially dangerous against any knowledge that Jacaerys, acting as regent, still wielded considerable power in the queen's incapacitation. The court was a powder keg of suspicion and ambition, with factions rallied behind the two princes. On a cold autumn morning, everything came to a boiling point, with Rhaenyra found dead in her chambers. Officially, the maesters recorded her demise as due to failing health and the overuse of milk of the poppy.
But behind closed doors, darker theories surfaced as well. Rumour had it that the Queen had been poisoned, silenced before she could name Aegon her heir. Others suggested she might have been killed by Jacaerys or his allies, who had acted in preemptive self-defence to protect his position.
A few others even speculated Prince aegon had poisoned her, acting not in ambition but shaken by the desperation of putting an end to mother's suffering.
152AC - the dragon's mind is fleeting
as the years passed, Queen Rhaenyra's once formidable mind began to show signs of a troubling decline, the immense trauma of the dance seemingly fracturing her spirit and clarity. many within the red keep whispered of the forgetfulness, her inability to recall the names of even trusted allies or events of great importance. her behaviour grew increasingly erratic; she was often found wandering the dimly lit corridors late at night, murmuring disjointed thoughts.
maesters suggest her affliction might stem from her grief and anguish, prescribing milk of the poppy to ease her restless nights and growing fears. what began as a remedy soon became a crutch, with rhaenyra frequently seen consulting the substance even in the presence of her court. this public display of fragility deeply unsettled her remaining sons, particularly prince aegon, who took it upon himself to act as her sole caregiver.
refusing the aid of maesters or servants, aegon fiercely guarded his mother's dignity, though his vigilance came at the expense of his marriage. His marriage began to fracture under the strain of his devotion, as his world narrowed to his mother’s care.
Meanwhile, the realm’s governance fell to Prince Jacaerys, serving as regent, though his tenuous rule sparked discontent among the court. Whispers of his questionable legitimacy further fanned the flames of discontent, as the once-mighty House Targaryen appeared increasingly fragile under the weight of Rhaenyra’s tragic decline. Many wondered if the Queen’s faltering mind signalled the twilight of the Targaryen dynasty itself.

153ac - the war of the half-brothers
In 153 AC, a civil war breaks out between half-brothers Aegon Targaryen and Jacaerys I Targaryen after the suspicious death of their mother, Queen Rhaenyra I Targaryen. In her last years, Rhaenyra experienced early-onset dementia, and during fleeting moments of lucidity, she allegedly expressed a wish to name Aegon as her heir, which cast doubt on Jacaerys' claim to the throne. Rumours suggested that Jacaerys had hastened her death to secure his position, which created a divide in the realm and sparked a brutal conflict reminiscent of the devastation seen during the Dance of the Dragons Dragons.
The realm was fractured into two factions. The Red Faction, led by Aegon, found strength in those who viewed Jacaerys’ rumoured illegitimacy as a stain upon the Iron Throne. Houses Velaryon, Arryn, Hightower, Royce, Grafton, Peake, Tyrell, and Tommen Lannister of Lannisport rallied behind Aegon’s banner. The Velaryons, led by the formidable Laena Velaryon, dominated the seas, with Laena herself taking Baelon, Jacaerys' son, into battle upon dragon back—a symbolic strike against her rival’s bloodline. Tommen Lannister, supported by Houses Plumm and Farman, brought additional naval and financial power, solidifying Aegon’s position.
Opposing them was the Blue Faction, loyal to King Jacaerys I, who ascended to the throne amidst rumours of his parentage. Jacaerys’ marriage to Jirelle Celtigar ensured the loyalty of the Crownlands except for House Velaryon's rivalry and House Darklyn’s neutrality, while the Redwyne fleet, the Stormlands, and Dorne provided vital support. Loreon Lannister, ruling from Casterly Rock, remained steadfast in his allegiance to the Iron Throne, with Houses Lefford and Reyne bolstering his efforts. However, the rivalry between Loreon and Tommen Lannister fractured the Westerlands. While Loreon worked to maintain stability, Tommen exploited rumours of Loreon’s illegitimacy to weaken his position, mirroring the larger conflict between Aegon and Jacaerys.
The war’s most devastating battles were waged in the skies. Dragons, the ultimate weapons of the Targaryens, left fields scorched and castles reduced to rubble. In one infamous clash over the Shield Islands, Laena Velaryon and her dragon, Rhaegos, battled Baelon’s dragon, Aegarax. The skies burned with dragonfire. Baelon, seeing Rhaegos’ veracity, fears for his dragon’s life and pulls back, giving the victory to Laena.
Queen Rhaenyra’s memory loomed large over the conflict. Both brothers claimed her legacy, with Aegon asserting that he fulfilled her final wishes, while Jacaerys pointed to her coronation of him as proof of her will. Their mother’s divided legacy fueled the flames of war, turning her into a spectral figure haunting the realm.
Neutral houses like the Starks of the North and Tullys of the Riverlands watched in wary silence, refusing to commit to either side. House Darklyn of the Crownlands, despite its strategic position, declared neutrality, further complicating the ambitions of both factions.
The War of the half brothers left Westeros scarred and fractured. Entire regions lay in ruin, their fields burned and castles abandoned. The conflict ended not in a decisive victory but through the intervention of neutral houses, brokering a fragile truce. Yet, the animosity between the brothers persisted, ensuring that the war would remain a bitter chapter in Targaryen's history, with its scars felt for generations to come.
153ac - reign of jacaerys i
Tragically, Rhaenyra's life was cut short under mysterious circumstances, leaving her young son, Jacaerys, to inherit the throne in 153 AC. However, rumors persisted that Jacaerys was not the trueborn son of Rhaenyra's husband Laenor Velaryon, leading many to question his legitimacy and right to rule. He was, after all, a very Strong boy.
The uncertainty surrounding Jacaerys' parentage ignited a power struggle within the realm, as rival factions vied for control of the Iron Throne. Amidst the chaos, Jacaerys' reign was marked by instability and intrigue, with whispers of betrayal and treachery echoing through the halls of the Red Keep. The marriage to Jirelle Celtigar, daughter to his Hand, William, years earlier, did not aid in his popularity as there were far more prosperous and popular matches. The broken betrothal to his cousin Baella, left many to question Jacaerys' reign and even for the Velaryon fleet to break their loyalty to the crown and in full support to Alyn Velaryon who takes her as his bride instead.
It broke the realm into two factions. The Blues and The Reds. Blue for King Jacaerys I Targaryen and Red for his half-brother Aegon Targaryen. Westeros stood divided, house against house, brother against brother.

156ac - THE SEIGE OF THE RED KEEP
In a shocking turn of events, Jacaerys met his untimely demise in a coup orchestrated by his half-brothers Prince Aegon and Prince Viserys at the end of the year 156 AC seeking to seize power for themselves. With Jacaerys' death, the legitimacy of his young son, Baelon's claim to the throne was called into question, plunging the realm into further turmoil and uncertainty. In the chaos of the grasp for power, the Red Keep is stormed and many are slaughtered in the turmoil both noble and royal alike.
Amongst the fallen nobility are, Lord Tommen Lannister and his son Garion, Lord Dustan Pryor, his cousin Celine Pryor and Lady Melissa Mallister.
Most importantly, when the group split itself into different groups, they found Princess Daenys Targaryen taking care of her baby nieces Princess Rhaenyra and Princess Vaella, and the two-year-old Prince Gaemon. Sadly when men smell the scent of blood and feel the heat of battle, there is no stopping them. It is said by many servants they heard the cries of Princess Daenys as she tried to fight off the men and protect the children with all of her might, only to be killed in the effort. One must not hide away the cruelty and terror of violence, so I will not do so for you.
When the storm had died down and the enemy had been defeated, it was Dowager Queen Jirelle Celtigar who found her grandchildren and daughter beaten and bloodied. The twins were killed in their cradle, barely a year old, and the poor little prince Gaemon clutched within the arms of his aunt, the blade that killed them both still holding them together.
153ac - the joining of dorne
But not all is bad during Jacaerys’ reign. He did what his ancestors could not and brought Dorne into the rest of the kingdom, without violence and dragon’s fire. He agreed with the demands posed.
House Martell would be allowed to keep their titles as prince and princess of Dorne, the people would be allowed their faith, and their rule of inheritance, and would gain a princess in the form of Jacaerys’ only daughter, Princess Daenys. The girl, at a tender age of ten and seven, marries Trystane Martell ten years her senior, and is the current ruling Prince of Dorne.
Perhaps it was the political skills of King Jaecaerys’ or perhaps it was simply because both Daenys and Trystane were besotted with one another. It is rumored the pair barely left their bed during their honeymoon period, Trystane going as far as to bring his members of the court into his bedchambers while his dragon princess laid bare and slept beside him.
The Dornish were content and celebrations were held when not nine months later the gods blessed their union with a miracle only seen before in House Oakheart, two years back. Princess Daenys gave birth to not one, or two but three babies. All are healthy and thriving.

169 AC - essos invades
In the wake of the unsolved conflict in the Stepstones, a strategic region lying between Westeros and Essos, tensions escalate and spill over into neighboring lands. Fearing the potential repercussions of this instability, factions in Essos perceive an opportunity to expand their influence and assert their dominance. However, the true aim of the conflict remains shrouded in mystery, as rumors spread that the invasion is meant to support the hidden descendants of Aegon—Jacaerys' half-brother—specifically his twins, Rhaenora and Rhaenor, and their children.
Due to the rift between House Targaryen and House Velaryon, King Baelon I no longer can call upon the Velaryon fleet to handle this foreign invasion. So it is Lord Gilbert Redwyne, brother to Queen Alerie Redwyne, Lord Selwyn Tarth, Lady Naerys Celtigar, and surprisingly Qylle Fowler, brother to Lord Ulwryck, who answer the call and set sail to meet the Triarchy in battle. Alas, neither are seasoned fighters, almost all were born after the Dance of Dragons and had never fought in any sort of battle, while their enemy had some of the most seasoned warriors amongst their ranks.
With the Stepstones serving as a foothold for their operations, they aim to conquer strategic territories along the western coast and establish a stronghold from which to project their power further into the continent. All seem lost for a while. In the end, it is sixteen-year-old Jacaerys Waters upon Valaeris who against his mother's wishes comes to their aid. The young boy's carelessness and bloodlust sets the Essosi fleet aflame.
Together with both dragon flame and the skill of the Redwyne fleet, they can fight back the Tryarchy’s forces and take dominion over the Stepstones.
156 AC - a son for a son
Having fled the Red Keep, Prince Viserys and Prince Aegon sought refuge in the Reach. Hiding amongst the maesters in the citadel, it took nearly a whole year and the cowardice of one young novice before both brothers were caught and dragged back to King’s landing.
It is said that whenever a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin and the world holds its breath. It does seem even the smallest drop of dragon blood comes with madness. In the anger and rage, Baelon felt for the death of not only his father King Jacaerys I, sister, son and heir Gaemon and his twin daughters he had not only his half brothers and those who supported them killed but also have the order to have every living son of Viserys and Aegon murdered, amongst them babies barely a few months old. Baelon made sure neither of his remaining nieces married into wealthy houses so they could not rise up and rebel once more. Jaehella is married off to Corman Corbray and Maegelle to Leymond Westerling.
But what was odd was….Aegon’s son and daughter Rhaenor and Rhaenora are never found.

.
What surprises many at court is that Baelon brought along both of the loyal mistresses and their children. Dragonriders, Daella Waters and Jacaerys Waters make their entrance upon their dragons while the other children join their respected mothers in the carriages destined for them.
Many gasp when Baelon does not arrive upon dragon back but rather in a carriage of his own, ill and weakened of the travel, his ethereal and royal appearance withered away and instead a frail, old man stands before his court. The question remains, who was to be the next king? Who’s name would fall from Baelon’s lip?
Certainly when the first court is held, Baelon recognizes his bastards by his mistresses. Giving them their own noble title and seat to grow their own house. Perhaps a feeble attempt to ensure the safety of his last remaining children he so loved.
Jacaerys Waters and his sister Naerys are gifted Harrenhall. Jacaerys, in order to honor the Valyrian house that held it before, takes on the name Targaryen of Harrenhall.
Vaemon Waters and his sister Daella are given ownership over Dragonstone causing many to speculate that the ailing King had already chosen his heir.
Feeling slighted, Jacaerys acts out, causing a physical altercation between him and his brother Vaemon. Baelon in his rage, banishes Jacaerys from court, ordered to take himself and his dragon, Vaeleris to Harrenhall. The bastard prince brooded in the cold, shadowed halls of his newly gained keep…
The prince is seen taking to the skies over the Riverlands, visiting many lords and ladies of the riverlands whose castles stood as symbols of both old alliances and potential new ones. Jacaerys remembered how the Riverlands had aided his ancestor when the dance had begun and what power those people held. So he took his time, each visit a blend of charm and desperation as he tried to win their favor, his words reaching anybody who was willing to listen and soon, the green dragon banner filled many a tavern wall.
177 AC - the legitimisation of the royal bastards
As years pass, Baelon I grows sickly, suffering from the same illness as his great grandsire, Viserys I and has no heir. Sadly Queen Alerie Redwyne,
as beautiful as she was, gave birth to many children but only few grew old enough to survive the birthing bed or even the first year of life. She was dutiful in her task though, battling in the birthing bed until her last breath at the age of one and forty in 177 AC. With Baelon's declining health , the king decides he wishes to spend his last days away from King's Landing and head to Summerhall where he feels at peace.
As rival claimants to the Iron Throne emerged, each laying their own stake to the Targaryen legacy, the Seven Kingdoms teetered on the brink of civil war once more. With the realm divided and alliances shifting like sand, the future of Westeros hung in the balance, as the struggle for power and dominance threatened to plunge the realm into darkness once more. Old factions formed during the rebellion against King Jacaerys I rise again.
When the court arrives at Summerhall, many things happen. Claimants from all over the regions join the vacation home, jon Corbray, son of Jaehella Targaryen and Lord Corman Corbary, Aegon Westerling, son of Leymond Westerling and Margelle Targaryen and the crown prince of Dorne and prince Quentyn Martell.

.
The newly recognized prince joined his father upon the dias. Soon King Baelon I addressed his court, cutting through the batted breaths and eerie silence. He announces Vaemon Targaryen, Lord of Dragonstone as his heir. Crown Prince to the Iron Throne.
The declaration sent shockwaves throughout the throne room, sparking outrage amongst many nobles. To have a bastard upon the throne, surely neither nobility nor faith would stand for it? Lord Arryn, his face a mask of fury, is seen storming out with his bannermen in tow, closely followed by Jon Corbray, Aegon and Leymond Westerling and moments later Illyn Serrett, both equally incensed by the king’s decision.
Amidst the chaos, the king’s mistress waits until Baelon demands Vaemon to bend the knee, not to him but to the nobility watching and swear to protect them diligently once the heavy crown is set upon his head. It is only then she pulls her daughter Naerys along, slipping out and into the shadows to join the departing Valemen.
178 ac - a new heir is named
A full year passed, and as the court prepared to resume their travels back to King’s Landing or their castles, the sharp sound of a buisine echoed across the courtyard of Summerhall, send waves of panic through the halls. Courtiers and servants are rushed into the throne room, their hearts gripped with fear at the sight of King Baelon slumped against his seat, surrounded by all seven of his Kingsguard.
Whispers of the Stranger’s arrival rippled through the crowd, as many believed their beloved king was finally facing his end. But the grim expectation was soon shattered to each and all's relief. As the room filled and a heavy silence fell over the court, Baelon slowly and painfully rose to his feet, using his cane to keep himself standing.
His breath labored, wheezing almost. A familiar sight to many at court, his face lined with the weight of years of duty and illness ailing his body. Summoning what strength remained within him, he stood tall before his court and called forth Vaemon.

179AC/180AC - the death of a peacock
Moons passed in silence, with no word from Harrenhal or the Vale, and ravens and emissaries returned empty-handed. It was only when King Baelon himself sent a raven to Lady Ilyn Serrett that the elusive woman finally appeared at Summerhall. Cerysse Baratheon, ever wary of her rival, was far from pleased by Ilyn’s reappearance, though the tension between them seemed to fade, especially with Cerysse’s son poised to ascend the throne.
However, shortly after Cerysse departed for Oldtown, a chilling discovery was made—Lady Ilyn was found dead in her chambers, her neck broken in what appeared to be a tragic accident after slipping while stepping out of her bath. Yet whispers spread through the court, for it seemed more than a mere coincidence that her body was only discovered after Cerysse had left.
178 ac - swearing of the great houses
The great hall of Summerhall, once heavy with the weight of King Baelon’s announcement, now buzzed with a different energy as lords and ladies of the realm, their faces a blend of duty, resignation, and ambition, came forward to swear loyalty to the newly named Crown Prince, Vaemon Targaryen. House Velaryon took the lead, with Lord XY Velaryon pledging not only his oath but also his fleet to the Prince, followed closely by the steadfast stags of House Baratheon and even House Stark who’s sole daughter, XY Stark had served as a lady-in-waiting for the late Queen Alerie carried a promise of unwavering support from the North. It is both Martell sisters who swear loyalty to Prince Vaemond in the name of Dorne and promise to serve and honor the prince.
The hall echoed with the murmurs of fealty, each lord bowing as Vaemon acknowledged them, his demeanor solemn under the weight of his new role. However, the absence of key figures was unmistakable. The seat reserved for House Arryn remained empty, with the falcon banner of the Vale conspicuously missing. Quiet whispers spread through the room, highlighting the absence of Lady Illyne Serrett, Princess Naerys and most worryingly his half-brother Prince Jacaerys.
Their silence loomed over the proceedings, a stark contrast to the declarations of loyalty that filled the hall, leaving an undercurrent of unease and doubt—a reminder that not all in the Seven Kingdoms were ready to accept a legitimized prince as their future king.

180AC - on the road once more
Two years pass and no news comes from Prince Jacaerys who is hidden within his broken down castle in Harrenhal.
\
Baelon grows ever sicker, bedridden and rarely seen out of his chambers. His dragon, Aegarax, ever vigilant remains close. It is when one fateful night, the Stranger’s grasp grows too tight around Baelon’s neck that the ailing king proclaims another move.
Against all advice, he demands his carriages to be readied and sets off to Harrenhal and of course, the court follows.
178 ac to 180 AC- rebellion at the crag: the westerlings' defiance
In the turbulent period following the announcement of Vaemond Targaryen, a legitimized offspring, as heir to the Iron Throne, House Westerling of the Crag defiantly opposed the crown. Outraged by the dismissal of Aegon Westerling, a trueborn with a legitimate claim, Lord Leymond Westerling gathered his forces, rallying his bannermen at the Crag before advancing towards Ashemark, the stronghold of House marbrand, who had declared their allegiance to Vaemond.
However, the Westerlings encountered a formidable opposition—a united force of Lannister, Lefford and Marbrand soldiers, bolstered by the intimidating presence of Princess Daella, Vaemond’s sister, riding her mighty dragon, Merexes. The ensuing battle saw the Westerling forces overwhelmed, leading to the capture of both Aegon and his father.
Presented with the ultimatum of swearing loyalty to Vaemond or facing severe consequences, the Westerlings chose defiance, and their rebellion was extinguished in the fierce flames of Merexes, leaving a stark lesson on the consequences of opposing the crown.
