Guidelines and Expectation:

  • Before you submit a story request, consider the following:

    • Could this be accomplished through in-character role-playing scenes?

    • Are there player characters within the game who could contribute to fulfilling your story request?

    • Think about the potential interactions and plot developments that could come from engaging other players in your narrative.

  • Do you have the role play to support the need for your request?

    • Our narrators require substantial role play activity to consider the request. They reserve the right to decline any story request if it is determined that insufficient role play was conducted beforehand.

  • Remember that the outcome might not always align with what you would wish to happen. A poor dice roll or role play interaction could lead to results that are less than favorable, challenging your expectations and requiring you to adapt to the unforeseen twists and turns of your journey.

  • When attempting to obtain information through the story-request process, you will have only one opportunity to successfully get the requested data. If this single attempt does not result in obtaining the desired information, it will be considered a failure, and the ticket will be marked as resolved.

  • Due to high demand, we are currently limiting story requests to two per week. Our narrators are committed to delivering your stories with the utmost care and attention, and they are working diligently to keep up with the volume of requests in a timely manner. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we strive to provide the best possible experience for all. These requests include, but are not limited to:

    • Letters to NPCs (or characters that do not yet have players).

    • Spy network attempts.

    • Interrogation on NPCs.

    • Sending hired hands to do things for you.

  • Until the HUD is finished, the narrator will use a generic D12 for rolls (Comprehensive Dice HUD, free on Marketplace). If the result is 6 or lower, it's considered a failure. If the result is 7 or higher, it's considered a success.

In the case of open Heads of House:

  • If a story request involves seeking guidance, advice, or permission from a Head of House, and the Head of House role is currently vacant on the website, such requests will be addressed through a letter from the Head of House. Narrators are aware that their portrayal of the character may not align with the approved player if the role is filled later and would not be fair to our player base.

Letter Requests:

  • First and foremost please give a moment to decide if this is a request that could possibly be fulfilled by an interaction with another player within the community, or even a letter to a played character.

  • If not, the narrators ask the letter contains clarity of these particular guidelines:

  1. The Recipient

  2. The Intent of the Letter

  3. The Location the Letter is Being Sent to. (Further distances between will result in a longer delay in a response.)

  4. The letter itself (verbiage use counts in how the response is offered).

  5. How the letter is travelling (in person messenger, raven, sea?)
